Monterrey’s TEC Institute invites students to participate in the “Summer of Water” contest

Contestants should present a graphic poster that shows the importance of the water and Climate Change relationship, in the categories of responsible use of water in cities, prevention of extreme hydrometeorological events and conservation of hydrographic watersheds.

The Monterrey Institute of Technology, together with the Water Center for Latin America and the Caribbean, is organizing the contest of graphic posters Summer of Water, that will award the winners with a trip to Mexico to participate in the seminar that will be held in the first two weeks of July 2012.

The participants must prepare a poster that conveys to the public the importance of the Water and Climate Change relationship, in any of the following subtopics:
- Responsible use of water in cities
- Prevention of extreme hydrometeorological events
- Conservation of hydrographic watersheds

The contest will include two categories:
Professional, aimed at university students who are in their final year of engineering and who are interested in the topics of sustainable development, quality of the environment and bioethics.
High School, aimed at students in the third and fourth year of high school who are interested in learning about different areas of engineering with a focus on sustainable development and environmental quality.
